Our 5138 series features the standard, domestic, 3-prong, 45 Angle North American Plug (NEMA 5-15P) with an ROJ. These North American power cords are ideal for powering your custom equipment. This power cord will plug into the standard North American wall outlet or NEMA 5-15R receptacle on one end and will hard-wire into your equipment on the other end. This 45 angle power cord is ideal for use in confined spaces because it eliminates stress placed on the conductors and strain relief. Because of the offset design, we define the orientation of the ground pin as it appears in the drawing above. Here, the ground pin appears to be in the 2 O'clock position, so we refer to it as the NEMA 5-15P 45 (2 O??clock Ground Pin). An ROJ, or Removed Outer Jacket, is the result of stripping the exterior jacket from the power cord and exposing the conductors for the purpose of hard-wiring the cord into your equipment. Our standard ROJ includes the removal of 2 inches (51mm) of jacket and of 1/4 inch (6mm) of conductor insulation. The 5138.036 carries the UL and C-UL approvals and is rated at 10A - 125V.
