Our 1112 series features the standard, domestic, 3-prong, North American Plug (NEMA 5-15P) with the IEC-60320-C5 Connector. These are the standard North American power cords used for grounded (3-conductor) laptops, notebooks, stereos, game consoles, and electric razors, as well as many other devices. These power cords connect on one end to the standard North American wall outlet or 5-15R receptacle, and on the other to any electronic device or appliance using an IEC-60320-C6 inlet. The IEC-60320-C5 is also known as the Mickey-Mouse connector. Shielded wire uses a conductive lining to disperse any external electromagnetic interference and reduce any internal high-frequency noise. This protects the flow of electricity from electromagnetic fields created by other devices, and also protects the external environment from any electromagnetic field created by the power cord itself. The 1112.120 carries the UL and C-UL approvals and is rated at 10A - 125V.
