The ProLinx family Modbus Plus to A-B Remote I/O Adapter communications module (5310-MBP-RIO) creates a powerful connection between devices on a Modbus Plus network and a Remote I/O device. The module is a stand-alone DIN-rail mounted protocol gateway that provides one Modbus Plus configurable DB9F port and Remote I/P port. The Modbus Plus protocol driver exists in dual Modbus Plus Ports (MBP). The driver can be configured on an individual port basis as either a master or a slave to interface with other Modbus Plus devices. The Modbus port is fully configurable, providing a great deal of flexibility. The RIO interface is an adapter (slave) which can be connected to a scanner (master) that controls the data transfer. The module also supports limited high speed data transfer via the Input and Output images.
