Premium PSU’s CBS-10K is a single output DC/DC converter that provides a peak power of up to 10kW during 40 seconds with multiple input-output voltage combinations, which makes it the perfect fit for a wide range of applications that require high power conversion in a compact and light design.
With a 6kW power average, this converter series allows for parallel connection, which escalates the power provided. All models offer 500Vdc output and can be variated up to 700Vdc under request and have been developed with SiC Technology, which gives them a high power density.
The CBS-10K has been designed according to rolling stock standards and is the perfect fit to start up the diesel engine in hybrid diesel-electric trains. It will allow train manoeuvre at low speed when catenary power is not available, supplying the rectifier to operate as an inverter when starting the engine.
The unit allows:
Up to 10kW during 40s
6kW average
500Vdc output (up to 700V under request)
High input-output isolation (5000 Vrms)
O-ring output diode up to 2000V
24Vdc, 48Vdc, 72Vdc, 110Vdc input voltage models
Parallelizable
Remote control via RS232
Optional CAN BUS
High power density
Alarm by isolated relay contacts
Up to 95% efficiency
200.000 h MTBF (according to IEC61709, SN29500 @40°C)
