Invented by Pivot Point, the popular Bow-Tie Locking Cotter™ works like a Hair Pin Cotter, but locks itself on! Push or pull the cotter leg into the mating hole, the Bow-Tie snaps into a zero-tension locked position. It is easily released by lifting the loop and sliding the cotter off. The Bow-Tie reduces the risk of being accidentally knocked or vibrated off, as can happen to hairpin cotters. Made from hard drawn wire with an attractive zinc plated finish, or stainless steel where available. Use in any hole location to ensure secure fastening.
