These actuators provide tilt to the top plate in two axes. The two axes are perpendicular to each other. Their construction is temperature compensated so that changes in environmental temperature do not affect the tilting angle. The tilting mirror mounts are preloaded, thus they are extremely well suited for dynamic applications. One of their main advantages is a high resonant frequency. That´s why this system can provide sub-msec response time. A closed-loop version with integrated positioning control is available for high positioning linearity and repeatability. Non-Magnetic material and other customer size requirements are available upon request. The PSH 8 series is designed for mirrors and optical components up to 50mm in diameter. For mounting of other components onto the top plate, thread and pin holes are available. A special mounting clamp can be provided for these systems to avoid torque forces between housing and top plate when mounting the mirror or other components.
