The 124-1-A-5/2 is a single pole, normally open reed relay with a 5 V coil, designed for high-density through-hole mounting in test and measurement systems. It features a 4 mm × 4 mm footprint, sputtered ruthenium contacts rated for 10 W and 0.5 A switching at up to 170 V, and operate and release times of 0.2 ms and 0.1 ms respectively. The relay has an insulation resistance greater than 10¹² Ω and a coil resistance of 200 Ω. Its plastic package includes internal mu-metal magnetic shielding, and it operates reliably from -20 °C to +85 °C. The device does not include an internal diode, requiring external back EMF suppression if needed.
