The 109-1-A-5/2D is a single-pole normally-open reed relay in the Micro-SIL Series 109, designed for low-level or "cold" switching applications with a sputtered ruthenium contact. It operates on a 5 V nominal coil voltage with a coil resistance of 500 Ω, and supports a maximum switching current of 0.5 A at 200 V DC. The relay features a mu-metal magnetic shield for minimal magnetic interaction (typical 1%), insulation resistance greater than 10¹² Ω, and contact capacitance of 2.5 pF across the open switch. It is housed in a through-hole package and rated for operation from -20 °C to +85 °C, with a contact bounce time of 0.5 ms and release time of 0.2 ms. Internal back EMF clamping diodes are not included by default but may be added as an option.
