The Series 200 is a range of surface mount reed relays with dry switch contacts, available in configurations including 2 Form A (energize to make) with a 5 V coil. The relay operates with a maximum contact carry current of 0.5 A and switching power of 10 W at 200 V, with a typical operate time of 0.5 ms and release time of 0.2 ms. It features an encapsulated plastic package with internal mu-metal shielding for side-by-side mounting without magnetic interaction, insulation resistance greater than 10¹² Ω, and is rated for reflow soldering temperatures. The package dimensions are 17.25 mm × 15.25 mm × 6.0 mm, with a coil resistance of 400 Ω at 5 V.
The Series 200 is a complete range of surface mount reed relays. Both dry and mercury wetted switches are available in a wide range of configurations including coaxial types for RF up to 5GHz, or high speed digital switching with a step response time of less than 30ps. The special high temperature plastic package will withstand the temperatures associated with Infra-red or vapour phase reflow soldering processes. A flexible inner encapsulant protects the sensitive glass/metal reed switch seals - this is a very big advantage over the more usual hard moulded package.
