The Series 200 is a range of surface mount reed relays with a plastic package and internal mu-metal shielding for side-by-side mounting without magnetic interaction. The 200-1-B-12/2 variant is a 1 Form B reed relay with a 12 V coil, designed for energize-to-break operation, with a switch power rating of 10 W at 200 V, a maximum contact current of 1.2 A, an operate time of 0.5 ms, and a release time of 0.2 ms. It features an insulation resistance greater than 10^12 ohms and a typical capacitance of 0.1 pF across the open switch. The package withstands infrared and vapor phase reflow soldering, with dimensions of 17.25 mm x 15.25 mm x 6.0 mm.
The Series 200 is a complete range of surface mount reed relays. Both dry and mercury wetted switches are available in a wide range of configurations including coaxial types for RF up to 5GHz, or high speed digital switching with a step response time of less than 30ps. The special high temperature plastic package will withstand the temperatures associated with Infra-red or vapour phase reflow soldering processes. A flexible inner encapsulant protects the sensitive glass/metal reed switch seals - this is a very big advantage over the more usual hard moulded package.
