The 200-1-A-12/2D is a surface mount reed relay with a 12V coil, Form A contact configuration, and an internal diode. It features SoftCenter construction in a plastic package with internal mu-metal screening, enabling side-by-side mounting without magnetic interaction. The relay supports dry switching with a contact rating of 10 W at 500 V and has an insulation resistance greater than 10¹² Ω. It has a typical operate time of 0.5 ms and a release time of 0.2 ms, with a capacitance of 2.5 pF across the closed switch and 0.1 pF across the open switch. The package dimensions are 17.25 mm × 15.25 mm × 6.0 mm, and it is rated for reflow soldering temperatures. All standard configurations in the series include 3 V, 5 V, or 12 V coils, with or without internal diodes, and the device is 100% tested for dynamic contact resistance.

Both dry and mercury wetted switches are available in a wide range of configurations including coaxial types for RF up to 5GHz, or high speed digital switching with a step response time of less than 30ps. The special high temperature plastic package will withstand the temperatures associated with Infra-red or vapour phase reflow soldering processes. A flexible inner encapsulant protects the sensitive glass/metal reed switch seals - this is a very big advantage over the more usual hard moulded package.
