Pickering Electronics Series 100 100-2-A-12/6

Description
The Pickering Series 100 is a complete range of Single-in- Line (SIL) reed relays primarily intended for direct drive from 4000B CMOS or NMOS logic or similar low current sources. The mercury wetted relays in the range may be driven directly from TTL logic. They are also useful for applications where conservation of current is important, for example, battery powered equipment. The extremely low level of thermal EMF, about 1 microvolt or less, of the dry versions make them ideally suited to applications such as data acquisition or thermocouple switching. An internal mu-metal magnetic screen is fi tted to avoid the effects of magnetic interaction between relays.

Datasheet Summary
Powered by GS/AI

The Pickering Series 100 is a range of single-in-line reed relays designed for direct drive from CMOS or NMOS logic, with mercury-wetted variants compatible with TTL. This part, a 2-form A mercury-wetted relay with a 12 V coil and internal diode, features a switch contact resistance of 0.150 Ω, an insulation resistance of at least 10¹² Ω, and a capacitance of 5 pF across the open switch. It supports switching up to 50 W at 500 V with a contact current of 3 A. The relay has a typical operate time of 2.0 ms and a release time of 2.0 ms. It includes an internal mu-metal magnetic screen and must be mounted vertically with pin 1 uppermost. The device is encapsulated in a plastic package with dimensions of 24.1 mm length and 10.2 mm width.
