The Pickering Series 100 is a range of single-in-line reed relays designed for direct drive from low-current CMOS or NMOS logic sources. The 100-1-A-5/1D variant features a 5 V coil with an internal diode, dry switching contacts rated for 10 W at 200 V, and an insulation resistance of at least 10¹² Ω. It has a thermal EMF of approximately 1 µV or less, making it suitable for precision data acquisition. The relay is encapsulated in a plastic package with an internal mu-metal magnetic shield, measures 24.1 mm in length and 10.2 mm in width, and uses a 7-pin SIL configuration. Operation time is 1.0 ms max, with a coil resistance of 3300 Ω.
The Pickering Series 100 is a complete range of Single-in- Line (SIL) reed relays primarily intended for direct drive from 4000B CMOS or NMOS logic or similar low current sources. The mercury wetted relays in the range may be driven directly from TTL logic.
They are also useful for applications where conservation of current is important, for example, battery powered equipment.
The extremely low level of thermal EMF, about 1 microvolt or less, of the dry versions make them ideally suited to applications such as data acquisition or thermocouple switching.
An internal mu-metal magnetic screen is fi tted to avoid the effects of magnetic interaction between relays.
