Rose+Bopla’s Polyglas® (Fiberglass Watertight Safety 06/16/26) enclosures are a modified version of our standard compression molded fiberglass watertight enclosures. Carbon has been added to the material to reduce the surface conductivity to almost zero (L 109 OHMS). The structure is reinforced with one inch (25mm) fiberglass for rigidity and strength.
These boxes are offered in three types: Increased Safety (06), Intrinsic Safety (16), and Empty (26). The enclosure is designed as an Ex II T5 safety enclosure and conforms to Standards EN 50014, EN 50019 and EN 50020. These enclosures are designed for use in hazardous environments such as petrochemical refineries where Increased Safety and Intrinsic Safety enclosures are allowed.
Each enclosure includes a compression molded fiberglass lid and base, captive stainless steel lid screws and red silicone gasket. Allen head lid screws are available as an option.
