TSOS-632-500 is a through-hole, threaded, self-clinching standoff designed for permanent installation in metal sheets as thin as 0.025 in. It features a knurled head for close-to-edge clinching and is made from hardened stainless steel with a thread size of #6-32 and a length of 0.500 in. The standoff installs into a minimum hole size of 0.040 in and requires a minimum distance of 0.27 in from the hole centerline to the sheet edge. It is rated for use in sheets with Rockwell B hardness of 70 or less and Brinell hardness of 125 or less.
These standoffs, which use the proven self-clinching design, install with a squeeze in properly sized round holes - and become permanently mounted in the thin sheet.
Types TSO, TSOS, and TSOA self-clinching threaded standoffs provide permanent threads in sheets as thin as .025”.
