The SOS-8143-22 is a thru-hole unthreaded standoff designed for permanent installation in metal sheets as thin as 0.025 inches (0.63 mm). It utilizes a self-clinching design, allowing for easy installation by pressing into properly sized round holes. This standoff is suitable for applications requiring the mounting, spacing, or stacking of panels and components. It is recommended for use in steel or aluminum sheets with a hardness of HRB 70 or less. The SOS series standoffs are made from hardened stainless steel, providing durability and strength. Optional nickel plating is available for enhanced corrosion resistance in harsh environments. Custom sizes can be ordered upon request.
These standoffs, which use the proven self-clinching design, install with a squeeze in properly sized round holes - and become permanently mounted in the thin sheet.
Unthreaded standoffs are also available for spacing multi-panel assemblies.
