The SOS-63-1-3 is a thru-hole unthreaded standoff designed for permanent installation in metal sheets as thin as 0.025 inches (0.63 mm). It utilizes a self-clinching design, allowing for easy installation by pressing into properly sized round holes. This standoff is suitable for applications requiring the mounting, spacing, or stacking of panels, boards, or components. It is recommended for use in steel or aluminum sheets with a hardness of Rockwell B scale 70 or less. The SOS series standoffs are made from hardened stainless steel, providing durability and resistance to corrosion, especially when optional nickel plating is applied. Custom sizes are available upon request, making it adaptable for various engineering needs.
These standoffs, which use the proven self-clinching design, install with a squeeze in properly sized round holes - and become permanently mounted in the thin sheet.
Unthreaded standoffs are also available for spacing multi-panel assemblies.
