SOA-6143-6 is a thru-hole unthreaded standoff designed for permanent installation in metal sheets as thin as 0.025 inches (0.63 mm). It utilizes a self-clinching design, allowing for easy installation by pressing into properly sized round holes. This standoff is suitable for use in aluminum sheets with a hardness of Rockwell B scale 50 or Brinell hardness 82 or less. The SOA series is particularly recommended for applications requiring spacing between panels or components. Custom sizes are available upon request, and optional nickel plating can be specified for enhanced corrosion resistance.
These standoffs, which use the proven self-clinching design, install with a squeeze in properly sized round holes - and become permanently mounted in the thin sheet.
Unthreaded standoffs are also available for spacing multi-panel assemblies.
