The SO-032-8ZI is a thru-hole threaded standoff from PennEngineering® designed for use in steel or aluminum sheets with a hardness of HRB 80 or less. This standoff features a self-clinching design that allows for permanent installation in sheets as thin as 0.025 inches (0.63 mm). It is suitable for applications requiring mounting, spacing, or stacking of panels and components. The standoff is made from hardened stainless steel and can be optionally nickel plated for enhanced corrosion resistance. It is important to ensure proper hole sizing and installation techniques to achieve optimal performance. Custom sizes are available upon request.
These standoffs, which use the proven self-clinching design, install with a squeeze in properly sized round holes - and become permanently mounted in the thin sheet.
PEM® brand thru-hole threaded standoffs are installed with their heads flush with one surface of the mounting sheet.
