FH-series self-clinching pins are flush-head fasteners designed for permanent installation in aluminum, steel, or stainless steel sheets as thin as 0.020 inches (0.51 mm), with high torque-out and pushout resistance. They install using standard pressing equipment, displacing material to form a secure, flush assembly. These pins are available unthreaded and are suited for applications requiring alignment, positioning, or pivot functions. The series accommodates sheet hardness up to HRB 80 and HB 150 for FH variants, with specific ratings for FHS (HRB 70, HB 125) and FHA (HRB 50, HB 82) subtypes. Appearance variations from manufacturing processes do not affect fit, form, or function.
PEM® self-clinching studs are installed by placing them in properly sized holes in the sheets and squeezing into place with any standard press. The squeezing action embeds the head of the stud into the sheet. The metal displaced by the head flows smoothly and evenly around the ribs and into the annular groove – creating a flushhead assembly and securely locking the stud into the sheet with high torque-out and pushout resistances.
