CLS-0624-1 is a self-clinching nut designed for permanent installation in aluminum, steel, or stainless steel sheets, providing load-bearing threads with high pushout and torque-out resistance. It features a serrated clinching ring to prevent rotation after installation and is installed by applying parallel pressure to cold-flow the surrounding sheet metal into an undercut. For installation in 5052-H34 aluminum, it offers a pushout resistance of 220 lbf and a torque-out resistance of 35 in.-lbs. The part is dimensionally equivalent to NASM45938/1 specifications.
Type S, SS, CLS, and CLSS nuts provide load-bearing threads in thin sheets with high pushout and torque-out resistance.
Type SP, PEM 300® nuts provide strong load-bearing threads in stainless steel sheets as thin as .030”.
Types S and SS are recommended for use in steel or aluminum sheets HRB (Rockwell “B” scale) 80 or less and HB (Hardness Brinell) 150 or less.
