Blind-threaded self-clinching standoffs designed for mounting into metal sheets, with a closed-end barrel allowing flush installation on the head side. This variant is made from hardened stainless steel and is suitable for clinching into aluminum sheets with a Rockwell B hardness of 50 or less. The part has a minimum hole size of 0.050 inches, a thread of #10-32, and a length of 0.312 inches. It supports no grounding teeth and is not intended for use in stainless steel sheets without optional nickel plating. Minimum distance from hole center to sheet edge is 0.31 inches.
These standoffs, which use the proven self-clinching design, install with a squeeze in properly sized round holes - and become permanently mounted in the thin sheet.
When blind-threaded types are used, outer sheet surfaces are not only flush, but closed as well.
