Blind-threaded self-clinching standoffs designed for permanent installation in sheet metal, providing flush, closed-end mounting. The BSOA series is constructed from hardened stainless steel and is suitable for clinching into stainless steel sheets with a Rockwell B hardness of 88 or less. These standoffs feature a 5M3 thread size and a length code of 14, corresponding to 0.437 inches. The design allows installation where access is restricted to one side, and the barrel end is closed to prevent penetration through the material.
These standoffs, which use the proven self-clinching design, install with a squeeze in properly sized round holes - and become permanently mounted in the thin sheet.
When blind-threaded types are used, outer sheet surfaces are not only flush, but closed as well.
