The Heyco 8400 Liquid Tight Fitting features a 3/8" thread size and is designed for use with flexible nonmetallic conduit and tubing. Constructed from nylon, this fitting is suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. The installation process is straightforward, requiring no disassembly; the conduit or tubing can be pushed onto the ferrule and secured with a domed sealing nut. This design eliminates the need for threading, reducing the risk of leaks. The convex ferrule ensures a liquid-tight seal, and the fitting is reusable, allowing for easy removal by turning while pulling. It has an IP68 rating, providing protection against water ingress up to 70 psi (5 bar). The temperature range for this fitting is -22¬8F (-30¬8C) to 221¬8F (105¬8C), making it versatile for various environments. It is important to note that a sealing washer may be required for wet locations, and Teflon¬Æ tape is recommended for tapped hole applications.
