The TGSCB Relay Timer from Airotronics is designed for HVAC applications requiring a relay output of up to 10 amps for compressor protection. It features an anti-short-cycle mode that prevents premature cycling of compressors, which helps reduce nuisance tripping of fuses or circuit breakers. The timer can be configured with a fixed or adjustable time delay of up to 10 minutes, with a time tolerance of ±20%. The device supports input voltages of 24 VAC, 120 VAC, or 230 VAC, and includes an optional 1-second Delay On Make to mitigate contactor "hum." It has a mechanical life expectancy of 1 million cycles and an electrical life expectancy of 100,000 cycles under full load. The TGSCB is encapsulated for protection against harsh environments and offers 100% load isolation, ensuring no voltage drop or leakage current in the normally open position. The timer is also transient protected with an 18-joule rating.
