Panel Components & Systems, Inc. Ground Fault Detection Systems RGU-10

Description
The RGU-10 earth leakage relays are designed to minimize damage or loss to equipment caused by destructive ground faults. The RGU-10, in combination with the external WGC series CTs, are ideally suited for motor control, motor control centers and high-voltage starters. System types can be wye or delta, grounded or resistance-grounded. When the ground fault current exceeds a pre-selected condition (current and time setting), the relay trips. The backlit display screen changes in color from green to red. Relay contacts on the RGU-10 can be connected in the control circuit of a motor starter, to the shunt trip of a circuit-breaker or similar disconnecting or alarm device. The RGU-10 system has an inverse time characteristic to prevent nuisance tripping. The trip current value is field adjustable, up to 30A,AC. The time-delay relay is field adjustable up to 10 seconds. Features: Monitors and measures True RMS ground leakage current Power On and Trip LEDs Dedicated alarm and pre-alarm contacts Easy-to-read backlit display Selectable Fail-Safe relay mode Front LCD display turns red upon pre-alarm or trip occurances Test and Reset buttons
