The MJF18204 is an NPN bipolar power transistor designed for electronic light ballast and switching power supply applications, housed in an isolated TO-220 Fullpack (TO-220AB) package. It has a collector-emitter voltage rating of 600 Vdc, a collector-base voltage rating of 1200 Vdc, and a continuous collector current of 5 A. The device is fully characterized at 125°C and offers high DC current gain with flat gain characteristics across collector current. It features fast switching with no base coil required for turn-off, and a peak base current of 4 A. The thermal resistance from junction to case is 3.55°C/W, and the maximum junction temperature is 150°C. It meets the ON Semiconductor "6 SIGMA" philosophy for tight parametric control and is compliant with UL 94 V-0 for flammability.
