The MC100EL1648 is a 5 V ECL voltage-controlled oscillator amplifier requiring an external LC tank circuit, used in high-speed telecommunications and test equipment. It is packaged in an 8-lead DFN8 with a thermal exposed pad, measuring 2.00 mm BSC. The device operates in PECL mode (4.2 V to 5.5 V) or NECL mode (−4.2 V to −5.5 V), drawing 19 mA typical at 5.0 V. Its output includes an on-chip 510 Ω termination resistor, enabling direct AC-coupling to a 50 Ω transmission line without an external pull-down.
