The FOD819SD is a 4-pin surface-mount optocoupler with a gallium arsenide infrared LED and high-speed phototransistor, designed for isolated digital signal transmission. It is packaged in a 4-pin SMT configuration with lead bend and meets DIN EN/IEC60747-5-5 with 850 Vpeak working insulation voltage and 5,000 VAC RMS for one minute per UL1577. The device operates from -55°C to +110°C, supports 50 mA input current and 30 mA output current, and has a current transfer ratio of 100% to 600%. Propagation delay is 9 to 30 μs with 10 kΩ load at 5 V, and rise/fall times are 12 μs and 20 μs, respectively. Total power dissipation is 200 mW, junction temperature is rated to +125°C, and insulation resistance exceeds 10¹¹ Ω. It complies with RoHS and has 7 mm creepage and clearance.
