The FAN7688SJX is a Pulse Frequency Modulated (PFM) controller designed for LLC resonant converters with synchronous rectification. It features a current mode control technique that enhances transient response and simplifies feedback loop design. The device operates within a wide frequency range of 39 kHz to 690 kHz and includes green functions to improve efficiency at light loads, such as symmetric PWM control and the ability to disable synchronous rectification. Protection mechanisms are integrated, including over-current protection, output short protection, and over-temperature protection, ensuring reliable operation. The FAN7688SJX supports a wide operating temperature range from -40¬8C to +125¬8C and is packaged in a 16-lead small-outline package (SOP16). It is suitable for applications in desktop ATX power supplies, telecom power supplies, and high-efficiency isolated DC-DC converters.
