The CAT1024YI-25-GT3 is a supervisory circuit designed for microcontroller-based systems, integrating a 2k-bit EEPROM memory and a power supervisor with brown-out protection. It operates within a voltage range of 2.7 V to 5.5 V and supports multiple reset threshold voltages suitable for 5 V, 3.3 V, and 3 V systems. The device features a 400 kHz I2C interface for memory access and includes a watchdog timer that resets the system in case of software or hardware failures. The CAT1024 model provides a single active low reset output, while the CAT1025 variant includes an additional active high reset output and a write protect input. Both versions ensure that write operations to the EEPROM are disabled when the supply voltage falls below the reset threshold, enhancing data integrity. The device is available in various surface mount packages, including SOIC, TSSOP, MSOP, and TDFN, with the TDFN package having a maximum thickness of 0.8 mm and a footprint of 3 x 3 mm.
