Vent Plugs with Filters and Check Valves can be used to relieve pressure or vacuum on bearing housings, gear boxes, reservoirs, or any application where venting is necessary. Vent plugs assure pressure equalization and minimize undesirable problems, such as bearing seal blowout due to excessive pressure.
This vent plug allows air to communicate freely through a 40 micron cellulose filter. The check valve allows air to pass through in only one direction. Pressure from the opposite direction immediately closes the valve, eliminating fluid loss. The plastic check valve ball has a 3/16” dia. The body of the unit is clear anodized aluminum. It withstands temperatures up to 225° F. This vent plug is 1” in height and has an 11/16” hex.
To remove the filter, simply unscrew the hex cap on top. A cost-effective replacement filter is readily available (see part no. B751-25).
