The M-PS-4Z Magnetic Pedestal provides a strong 5 lb. magnetic hold, allowing experimenters to securely position and align their optical mounts prior to clamping them down. Not only does this reduce the potential for damaging optical components, it also greatly increases the speed and efficiency with which an experiment can be set up. With the PS-Series Magnetic Pedestals, post-mounted optic holders can be quickly positioned to the approximate location on an optical table and securely aligned prior to clamping them down. This magnetic pedestal post is the dimensional equivalent to the standard PS pedestal post but does not have an M4 thread on the bottom.
