The M-MT-X Compact Metric Dovetail Linear Stage provides smooth, high resolution 1-axis X positioning for miniature components. These unique stages are only 25.4 mm square yet provide a full 9.5 mm travel range. An integral 80 pitch drives provide 1 μm sensitivity.
Dovetail Slide Bearings for Smooth Motion
Dovetail stages are ideal for small, controlled travel to eventually remain locked in place for long time periods. These stages do not employ typical roller bearings of cylindrical rails, which makes them less susceptible to shock and vibration. These DS series dovetail stages slide along precision preloaded dovetail slides, whose unique shape ensures accurate, repeatable motion. These stages are most notably compact, measuring just 1-in. (25.4 mm) along each of its square sides. A 8-32 or M4 threaded brass insert on each stage allows the easy attachment of any MPH Post Holder.
Precise, 1 µm Step Control With Locks For Secure Hold
Each stage come equipped with an 80 TPI drive screw for precision positioning of 1 µm. The motion can then be locked in place using a hex set screw controlled locking mechanism that insures placement over long times. Despite their small dimensions, these dovetail stages can translate appreciable mass, with a center load capacity of just less than 10 lbs (43 N max).
Easily Combined for Multi-axis Motion
These linear stages are compatible with MT Series Rotation Mounts. They can be combined to provide multi-axis motion and can be easily adapted to fit a specific system's needs. In the shown image, the MT-RS rotation mount is mounted to our MT-X manual stage using one side of the adapter bracket.
