Century Spring Corp. Serrated Disc Springs CCS036

Description
A disc spring (sometimes called a "Belleville washer" after the inventor) consists primarily of a convex disc supported at the outer periphery by one force and an opposing force on the center of the disc. Disc springs are used singly, or in stacks, to achieve a desired load and travel. The advantage of a disc spring is that it generates high force in a very short spring length and with minimal movement when compressed. All Century Spring disc springs are subject to exacting manufacturing and quality control standards. All discs are preset so that they will not significantly relax under load over time. Century Spring also offers pre-stressed disc springs specifically sized for use with bolts.

Serrated Disc Spring CCS036 from Century Spring Corp. features a trapezoidal cross-section with serrations on both sides, designed to provide a locking effect that enhances resistance to loosening in bolt connections. With an outer diameter of 1.496 inches and an inner diameter of 2.126 inches, this spring is suitable for use with various screw and bolt sizes, particularly pan head and hexagon socket head cap screws. The spring is made from spring steel and is available in a corrosion-resistant variant. It offers advantages such as minimizing stock with universal applications, concentric force application to prevent bolt bending, and sliding surfaces that allow for tightening without surface damage. The maximum height is 0.165 inches, and the minimum height is 0.133 inches, making it a versatile choice for applications requiring reliable pre-load maintenance.
