The Multicomp Pro general-purpose enclosure (part number 78AH1970) is designed for mounting printed circuit boards or components. It is constructed from either ABS plastic or polycarbonate, both of which have a UL flammability rating of UL94 HB. The enclosure features a gasketed lid with a two-piece ,Äútongue & groove,Äù construction that provides protection against oil, dust, and water, meeting the IP 65 standard. The lid is secured with self-captivating stainless steel machine screws, which are threaded into integral stainless steel bushings, allowing for repetitive assembly and disassembly without corrosion issues. Internal mounting options are enhanced with molded DIN rail mounting tabs. The enclosure is available in light grey ABS plastic with opaque or clear lid options, as well as off-white polycarbonate variants. A rubber gasket is included but must be field-installed.
