The BC109 is an NPN silicon planar epitaxial transistor intended for general-purpose amplifier and switch applications, housed in a TO-18 metal can package. It has a collector-emitter voltage rating of 25 V, a continuous collector current of 200 mA, and a power dissipation of 600 mW at 25°C. The junction temperature range is -65°C to +200°C, with a thermal resistance from junction to case of 175 °C/W. The DC current gain (hFE) ranges from 200 to 800 depending on the group, and the transition frequency is 150 MHz. Input impedance ranges from 3.2 to 15 kΩ, and the output capacitance is 4.5 pF.
