IR Polarizers The BIR Infrared Series polarizers are designed for applications that use infrared wavelengths between 700nm and 2500nm. High Contrast and High Transmission are the two polarizer types for the Infrared wavelengths. These polarizers cover the full wavelength range from 700nm to 2500nm.·If a polarizer with an extreme amount of contrast is needed, two Infrared High Contrast polarizers can be stacked together. Moxtek® can extend the range of the BIR series polarizers to 4.5µm using special fused silica low OH glass substrates. For NIR applications (3- 8µm) Moxtek uses the ProFlux® technology on a silicon substrate. For longer wavelength needs, inquire with Moxtek sales.
