The MV1442/IG/MPES is a CMOS-based HDB3 encoder/decoder and clock regenerator designed for 2.048Mbit PCM transmission links, compliant with CCITT recommendations. It operates from a single +5V supply and features TTL-compatible inputs and outputs. The device supports simultaneous and asynchronous encoding and decoding of HDB3 pseudo-ternary data, with built-in error monitoring functions for HDB3 violations, all ones detection, and loss of input alarms. The MV1442 can operate in both internal and external clock recovery modes, accommodating data rates of 1.544MHz, 2.048MHz, and 8.448MHz in external mode. It includes a digital clock regenerator, loop back control for terminal testing, and low power operation. The device is suitable for applications requiring reliable PCM signalling and error detection in telecommunications systems.
