The USB7002/KDX is a 4-Port USB 3.2 Gen 1 SmartHub,Ñ¢ IC designed for various applications including standalone USB hubs, laptop docks, and automotive integrated head units. It features native USB Type-C support on both upstream and downstream ports, along with two standard USB 2.0 downstream ports. The device is USB-IF certified and supports USB Link Power Management and Battery Charger revision 1.2 on downstream ports. This IC includes an internal hub feature controller that enables USB to I¬=C/SPI/UART/I¬=S/GPIO bridge endpoint support and advanced multi-port system policy management. It operates at speeds of up to 5 Gbps and is optimized for low-power operation. The USB7002/KDX is also equipped with a microcontroller for managing I/Os and includes 64kB RAM and 256kB ROM, with configuration options available through OTP or SPI ROM.
