The UPD301A-I/KYX is a stand-alone USB Type-C Power Delivery 3.0 controller designed for source-only applications. It features preprogrammed Power Delivery firmware that supports standard power profiles of 15W, 27W, 45W, and 60W, eliminating the need for custom firmware development. The device integrates analog discrete components, which help reduce the bill of materials and design footprint. This controller supports USB Type-C connector functionality, including connection detection and control, and can easily accommodate a second port through the UPD350 add-on. It is suitable for various applications, including point-of-sale terminals, charging lockers, IoT products, smart speakers, conference systems, power tools, and automotive rear seat charging ports. The UPD301A-I/KYX operates within a commercial temperature range of 0¬8C to +70¬8C and an industrial/automotive grade temperature range of -40¬8C to +85¬8C, making it versatile for different environments.
