The TC4421A is an inverting high-speed MOSFET driver capable of delivering 9A peak output current for driving large MOSFETs and IGBTs. It operates from a 4.5V to 18V supply and features matched rise and fall times of 15ns with a 4,700pF load and 135ns with a 47,000pF load. Propagation delay is 42ns typ. The device has a continuous output current rating of 2A, low output impedance of 1.2Ω typ, and latch-up protection withstanding 1.5A reverse current. It is available in an 8-pin DFN package with an electrically isolated exposed pad for thermal management and operates over a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. The input accepts TTL/CMOS logic levels with 300mV hysteresis and can tolerate inputs down to -5V. It is pin-compatible with the TC4421/TC4422 series.
