The SG1548J-DESC is a quad power fault monitor integrated circuit designed to monitor up to four positive DC supply voltages and one negative DC voltage for overvoltage and undervoltage conditions. It features a programmable fault tolerance window adjustable from ±5% to ±40% using a simple divider network on a 2.5V reference. The device includes an on-chip inverting op-amp for negative voltage monitoring and a comparator for AC line monitoring, which can also be used for programmable undervoltage lockout in switching power supplies. The SG1548J-DESC operates with a supply voltage range of 4.5V to 40V and provides separate fault outputs for overvoltage, undervoltage, and AC line faults, each capable of sinking 10mA at 40V. It incorporates a fault delay feature that can be set with a single external capacitor to prevent false outputs due to noise and transient conditions. The device is available in a 16-pin ceramic DIP package and is compliant with MIL-STD-883 for high reliability applications.
