The MIC2551 is a USB transceiver that adheres to the USB 2.0 physical layer specifications, supporting both full speed (12Mbps) and low speed (1.5Mbps) operations. It is designed to function with a supply voltage as low as 1.6V, making it suitable for mobile applications. The device features a separate I/O supply, integrated speed select termination, and very low power consumption to meet USB suspend-current requirements. It is available in compact TSSOP and MLF® packages, and does not require power supply sequencing. The transceiver also supports software-controlled re-enumeration, enhancing its versatility in various applications such as PDAs, palmtops, and cell phones.
