The MIC2045-2BTS-TR is a high-side MOSFET power distribution switch designed for general-purpose applications requiring circuit protection. It operates within a voltage range of 0.8V to 5.5V and can handle continuous output currents up to 6A. The device features programmable current limiting and thermal shutdown capabilities to safeguard both the switch and the connected load. An auto-reset circuit breaker is included, which turns off the output when an overcurrent condition persists for more than 32ms, with reset achieved by reducing or removing the load. The MIC2045-2BTS-TR also incorporates soft-start circuitry to minimize inrush current, making it suitable for applications with capacitive loads. The output slew-rate can be adjusted using an external capacitor, allowing for finer control during startup.
