The MCP2050-500E/SL is a LIN transceiver designed for automotive and industrial applications, compliant with LIN Bus Specifications Version 1.3 and 2.1, as well as SAE J2602-2. It supports baud rates up to 20 kBaud and operates within a supply voltage range of 6.0V to 18.0V, with a maximum continuous input voltage of 30V. The device features robust protection against load dump transients up to 43V and offers an extended temperature range of -40¬8C to +125¬8C. This transceiver includes an on-chip voltage regulator providing either 5.0V or 3.3V output at 70 mA, along with a programmable windowed watchdog timer. It supports low-power modes, achieving typical quiescent currents of 90 ¬µA in Transmitter Off mode and 4.5 ¬µA in Power Down mode. The MCP2050-500E/SL is equipped with high electromagnetic immunity and robust ESD performance, rated at ¬±15 kV for LBUS and VBB pins, making it suitable for demanding automotive environments. The device is available in a 14-lead SOIC package.
