The MCP14E5 is a 4.0 A dual-output high-speed MOSFET driver with complementary outputs, designed to drive capacitive loads up to 5600 pF in 26 ns (typical). It operates from a 4.5 V to 18 V single supply and provides 4.0 A peak output current with low output resistance (3.0 Ω typical) in both ON and OFF states. Each output has an independent active-high enable pin, internally pulled up, allowing control of output states regardless of input signals. The device features 50 ns propagation delay, latch-up protection withstanding 1.5 A reverse current, and ESD protection up to 4 kV. It is available in 8-lead PDIP, SOIC, and 6 mm × 5 mm DFN packages, with an operating temperature range of −40°C to +125°C.
The MCP14E3/E4/E5 devices are a family of 4.0 A, dual output MOSFET drivers with separate enable functions for each output. As MOSFET drivers, the MCP14E3/E4/E5 can charge 2200 pF gate capacitance in under 15 nsec (typical). The inputs are TTL/CMOS compatible, with 300 mV of hysteresis between the high and low input levels, providing noise immunity while allowing the device to be driven from slow rising and falling signals. The MCP14E3 offers dual inverting outputs, the MCP14E4 offers dual non-inverting outputs, and the MCP14E5 offers complimentary outputs.
