The MCP14E3 is a dual inverting 4.0A high-speed MOSFET driver with independent active-high enable functions for each output. It operates from a 4.5V to 18V single supply and can charge a 2200pF load in 15ns (typical) with a propagation delay of 50ns. The device features low output resistance (2.5Ω to 3.5Ω), latch-up protection against 1.5A reverse current, and TTL/CMOS input compatibility with a -5V to +18.3V input voltage range. The input pins include hysteresis for noise immunity, and the outputs can withstand up to 4kV ESD. The part is available in 8-pin PDIP, SOIC, and 6x5 DFN packages with an operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. The DFN package has an electrically isolated exposed pad for thermal enhancement.
The MCP14E3/E4/E5 devices are a family of 4.0 A, dual output MOSFET drivers with separate enable functions for each output. As MOSFET drivers, the MCP14E3/E4/E5 can charge 2200 pF gate capacitance in under 15 nsec (typical). The inputs are TTL/CMOS compatible, with 300 mV of hysteresis between the high and low input levels, providing noise immunity while allowing the device to be driven from slow rising and falling signals. The MCP14E3 offers dual inverting outputs, the MCP14E4 offers dual non-inverting outputs, and the MCP14E5 offers complimentary outputs.
