The KSZ8851-32MQL is a single-port Ethernet MAC controller that integrates both MAC and PHY functionalities, fully compliant with IEEE 802.3/802.3u standards. It supports 10BASE-T and 100BASE-TX Ethernet connections, and features full-duplex flow control as well as half-duplex backpressure collision flow control. The controller is designed for high-performance applications, offering DMA-slave burst data transfers and checksum generation for IPv4 and IPv6 protocols. This device includes a simple SRAM-like host interface that is compatible with most embedded microcontrollers, and it supports both big-endian and little-endian processor architectures. The internal memory consists of 12K bytes for RX FIFO and 6K bytes for TX FIFO, with programmable watermarks for flow control. Power management features include a low-power CMOS design and an integrated low-noise regulator, ensuring efficient operation across a commercial temperature range of 0°C to +70°C and an industrial range of -40°C to +85°C. The KSZ8851-32MQL is available in a 128-pin PQFP package and is pin-compatible with existing KSZ8841 and KSZ8842 series controllers. It is suitable for applications in video/audio distribution systems, industrial control, and various embedded Ethernet markets.
