The KS8721SL-TR is a 3.3V single power supply physical layer transceiver designed for 10/100 Base-TX/FX applications. It integrates a single chip solution compliant with the IEEE 802.3u standard, supporting both MII and Reduced MII (RMII) interfaces. The device operates with a power consumption of less than 340 mW, including output driver current, and features built-in voltage regulation. This transceiver supports auto-negotiation for 10/100 Mbps speeds and can operate in full-duplex or half-duplex modes. It includes far-end fault detection and offers power-saving modes, making it suitable for energy-efficient designs. The KS8721SL-TR also features on-chip analog front-end filtering for both 100BASE-TX and 10BASE-T, along with LED outputs for link status, activity, and collision detection. The product is available in both 48-pin SSOP and LQFP packages and operates within a commercial temperature range of 0¬8C to +70¬8C, as well as an industrial range of -40¬8C to +85¬8C. It is a drop-in replacement for the KS8721B, providing flexibility for existing designs.
